The results are in, and the class of 2018 “fifteen under 40” is another outstanding group. The outside panel of judges chose 15 young professionals from more than 100 nominations submitted to The News Reporter.
The Class of 2018 includes: Brandon Patrick, Chassie Strickland, Danysia Powell, Derrick Boyd, Dustin Chapman, Ethan Scott, Jamika Lynch, Jason Elleby, Jordan Johnson Carter, Justin Furlow, Mary Wheatley, Sarah L. Gore, Staci Ezzell, Todd Burney and W.T. Edwards II.
The judges found it difficult to select only 15 and encourages readers to resubmit again next year if your nomination was not selected.
The News Reporter invites the public to celebrate the “fifteen under 40” with friends, family and co-workers on July 12 at the Boys and Girls Home Exhibition Center for an evening of music, fun and food.
The News Reporter, along with many local businesses and organizations, uses the event to acknowledge the next generation of leaders for what they do above and beyond their workplaces to make Columbus County a special place to live.
“This group embodies progress with compassion and they seem to be ready to face challenges ahead with creativity and hard work,” said director of business development at The News Reporter and organizer of the event.
A special, magazine-style publication featuring the 15 young leaders will be inserted into the Tuesday, July 10 edition.
