Harbor Freight Tools has officially opened applications for its new Whiteville location, which will launch this spring, according to a press release.
“We’ve been looking to open a location in Whiteville for a number of years so that we can provide the tools and equipment at tremendous values to the community,” said Trey Feiler, senior vice president of real estate and construction for Harbor Freight.
The store, which will be at 1728 South Madison St., plans to hire 20-30 employees, including sales and logistic supervisors, senior associates, sales associates and seasonal workers, according to the press release. The business offers health coverage, along with Thanksgiving and Christmas off.
Anyone interested can apply at www.harborfreightjobs.com/retail.
“We look forward to having them join the Harbor Freight team,” Feiler said.
Harbor Freight submitted its site plans to the City of Whiteville in February, and renovation of the existing building is currently underway. The company plans to announce an official opening date later.
Harbor Freight, which has more than 1,100 stores nationwide, is just one of several major corporations to make plans for Whiteville locations in recent months.
